International Conference on Military Technologies 2025

The 10th International Conference on Military Technologies (ICMT) is an international forum for exchange of innovative ideas in domain of military technology. The conference is accompanying scientific program of International Exhibition of Defence and Security Technologies IDET 2025, the biggest military exhibition in central Europe. The conference will take place in the city of Brno, arguably the heart of Moravia. The city has about 400 000 citizens and is located close to Austerlitz battlefield and Moravian Karst. It offers many attractions and is filled with historical sites such as the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul , Spielberg Castle and Villa Tugendhat

The Call For Papers

CfP The conference is intended to address large scientific and technician community interested in military technology branch. The objective of the conference is to offer an opportunity for the presentation of the most important and interesting results of scientific research, development, and construction in the branch of military technology. The Proceedings

All accepted and presented papers will be publishedin ICMT 2025 Conference Proceedings. The Proceedings will be also submitted for indexing in IEEE Xplore® digital library, SCOPUS, and Google Scholar databases.

Keynote Speaker

Col. Ph.D, D.Sc. Krzysztof Pokonieczny

Professor at Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw

Col. Ph.D, D.Sc. Krzysztof Pokonieczny, professor of MUT, specializes in geoinformatics and currently works at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw.

  • Prior to this role, he spent 8 years at the Military Geographic Centre, where he managed military projects related to geoinformatics.
  • At the same time, he received second Masters from the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies School of Business in industrial management.
  • His research focuses on applying geostatistics and machine learning algorithms, especially in military GIS applications.
  • Currently, he serves as the Director of the Institute of Geospatial Engineering and Geodesy.

Dr. Corina Sandu


Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Virginia Tech



Dr. Corina Sandu is Director of the Terramechanics, Multibody, and Vehicle Systems (TMVS) Laboratory.

  • Before joining Virginia Tech in 2003, Dr. Sandu worked at Michigan Tech for three years.
  • She graduated with an Engineer Diploma in Mechanics from the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Romania (1991), and M.S. (1995) and Ph.D. (2000) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa, U.S.A.
  • Dr. Sandu’s research expertise lies in multibody dynamics (modeling, simulation, uncertainty quantification, parameter estimation, sensitivity analysis, design optimization), terramechanics (vehicle-terrain interaction, tire/track modeling, vehicle mobility, soil/terrain modeling), and vehicle dynamics (suspension, handling, ride, performance).
  • Dr. Sandu is an ASME Fellow, SAE Fellow, and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow.
  • She published 108 journal papers, 140 proceedings papers, 12 book chapters, and (co)/authored over 400 other papers, reports, posters, and presentations.
  • On March 20, 2025, Google Scholar indicates that her work received 3,861 citations, H-index 29, and i10-index 107.
  • Dr. Sandu served as Acting Department Head (12/2021-6/2022) and as Associate Department Head for Graduate Studies (8/2015-8/2024).

LTC. Emiliano Pellegrini


Lieutenant Colonel in Italian Army Aviation





Emiliano Pellegrini is currently stationed at the JAPCC as the Attack Helicopter on Air-Land Operations Planning and Integration, Airborne, and Airmobile Operations SME (Subject Matter Expert) in the Combat Air Branch.

  • Lieutenant Colonel Emiliano PELLEGRINI was commissioned in the Italian Army in 1990, when he was admitted to the Italian Army Military Academy
  • After the formation period he joined the Italian Army Aviation and then assigned to 5 th Attack Helicopter Regiment “RIGEL” where served as attack helicopter pilot, Helicopter Squadron Commander and Operations Officer
  • During this period, he was qualified as Attack helicopter pilot with NVG (Night Vision Googles) and HIRNS (Helicopter Infrared Navigation System) licence.
  • He has flown fixed wing SF-260, scout helicopter AgustaBell-206, multirole helicopter AgustaBell-205, as well as the AgustaWestland A-129 “Mangusta” attack helicopter.
  • From 2012 to 2016 was Commander of 34 Helicopters Group Squadron “TORO” and also Helicopter Base Commander.
  • After this Command period, he had been assigned to NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy (NRDC-ITA) in G3-AIR Branch both as planning and operation Officer
  • He has been deployed in several abroad exercises (e.g. Poland, Geordan…) and missions (Iraq, Afghanistan……)

Student Paper Competition

CfP Students are encouraged to submit their papers to the ICMT 2025 Student Paper Competition (SPC). The paper should satisfy the ICMT paper submission requirements and submitted by the paper submission deadline. Each paper which is accepted for the SPC should be presented by the primary author, who must be a student and registered for ICMT 2025. All accepted papers will be included in the proceedings of ICMT 2025.
SPC is an excellent opportunity for personal leadership and strong involvement of students in a prospective scientific/technical activity. It gives the possibility for all participants, students, counselors, professors, and many others to be involved and to participate in such an important and interesting student activity.
